Preservation Zebulon graciously thanks our members, donors, corporate sponsors, and granting organizations, whose generous support allows us to continue to preserve Zebulon’s great, historic assets. We do not receive funding or support from the Town of Zebulon.
Preservation Zebulon, Inc. is an organization founded to promote the historic preservation of homes, buildings, and districts in Zebulon and its surrounding areas. We are a volunteer organization and rely fully on the help of members to achieve our goals. We are a NC 501 (c) (3) non-profit.
Our Mission
Preservation Zebulon advocates for the preservation and appreciation of historic districts, buildings, and landscapes that embody important elements of the history and culture of Zebulon, North Carolina and promotes their use and conservation for the education, pleasure, and enrichment of residents and businesses
We have hired a consultant to submit a nomination for a National Register Historic District. Firefly Preservation is preparing the nomination and we anticipate having a district in 2019 or early 2020.
Once our district is established, Preservation Zebulon will hold meetings on the tax credits available to building owners who wish to renovate and restore their dwellings based on the Federal Standards of the Interior.
